What is Transport Fever 3?

Transport Fever 3 is a transport and economic simulation by Urban Games. As the operator of a growing transport company, you plan networks for passengers and freight by road and rail, over water and in the air. Over decades, small connections grow into complex systems of stations, roads, ports, airports, vehicle fleets and supply chains.

The third part builds on the well-known tycoon formula with a more detailed city and industry simulation, dynamic weather and a full day-night cycle. Cities change their needs over the course of a game, industries respond to demand, and costs, noise, environmental impact and reputation all affect your planning.

Gameplay

The core game revolves around profitable and reliable transport networks. Passengers and goods must reach the right places at the right time, while vehicle costs, maintenance, infrastructure and capacity are weighed against each other. Data views help make traffic jams, delivery problems, noise and other bottlenecks visible.

The history of transport spans more than 125 years. Horse-drawn carriages, steam locomotives and early ships are gradually replaced by modern trains, aircraft, supertankers and helicopters. Alongside the Tycoon mode there is a campaign with historical missions and a sandbox mode for more free-form building.

Economy, cities and industry

Cities develop depending on their transport links and supply chains. Individual residents have simulated routes between home, work and other destinations, while city districts and demand respond to the transport offering. More than 30 industries on land and at sea form the economic basis of the freight chains.

Industries grow based on demand and can be boosted by workers or additional resources. Warehouses and specialised terminals allow interim storage, while loans, contracts, maintenance costs and reputation create additional economic decisions.

Modding and map editor

Transport Fever 3 features an integrated map editor and expanded modding tools. The in-game mod browser is designed to make additional vehicles, buildings, infrastructure and other content directly discoverable in the game.
