These terms of use apply to the entire online platform Gameforest.de, operated by OM Network GmbH. They govern the use of the services offered by Gameforest, including the provision of texts, videos, images and downloads, as well as the functions for exchange between users and with the editorial team via comment features, forums and user profiles.
Online shopping offers for subscriptions or the purchase of print issues, digital magazines, gaming PCs or other goods are not part of these terms of use and are subject to the general terms and conditions of the respective online store.
Fair use:
Gameforest.de is financed by displaying advertising on the free version of the platform. We reserve the right to block features, content or access to the platform if users unilaterally violate the fair use agreement by using ad blockers. We give no guarantee or warranty that the platform will work properly when ad blockers are used.
As an alternative to the ad-funded version, we offer Gameforest Plus, which removes ad banners and offers additional convenience features such as higher speed and more security. You will find more information about Gameforest Plus, including features, packages and prices, on the corresponding store page.
User accounts:
To use the various features of our platform, such as sharing content, interacting with other users and using paid offers, a free user account is required. This account is valid for our platforms GameStar.de and GamePro.de and requires at least a username, a password and a valid email address. Only one account is allowed per user. When using paid offers, additional information such as first and last name, address and, where applicable, payment details may be required. It is important that all information is truthful. Creating or using multiple accounts, as well as providing false information, may lead to sanctions such as reminders, warnings or exclusion from the community, including the loss of posting rights.
User content:
To ensure a harmonious and lawful environment for all users of our websites, certain rules apply to all users. If you are able to upload texts, images or graphics to our platform, you must ensure that you respect third-party copyrights, other protective rights and personality rights. Not all content published on the internet is freely available, so it is important to respect the relevant rights. We accept no liability for content that you or other users publish on our platform. Each user is responsible for ensuring that uploaded content, such as comments, articles, videos, forum posts, blogs, private messages, images, graphics, files and links, complies with applicable rules and does not infringe third-party rights.

Price comparisons:
We offer independent, editorial buying advice on our platform and additionally integrate comparative shopping offers from third-party stores to show the best possible prices. Although we and the companies involved take care to display current prices correctly, we cannot guarantee the actual prices in third-party external stores. If an external store repeatedly violates the requirement for clear price marking, we will follow up on such notices and, where appropriate, initiate legal proceedings. We do not transmit personal data to these external companies. Clicking on prices from external stores only transmits the destination and origin of the click to third parties. Please note that your further browsing behaviour on the external offers may be tracked by cookies or similar technical methods used by the respective store.
Partnerships and third-party services:

All giveaways on GameForest.de are organised by us. Participation is free and does not require the purchase of goods or services. By taking part, you accept the set participation conditions, including any supplements or deviations stated on the respective giveaway page.
Employees of the organising company and its affiliated companies, as well as their relatives, are excluded from participation. Only one entry per person is permitted, and participants must be at least 18 years old.
Participants from Switzerland should note that customs duties may apply if they win. Winners will be notified promptly by email, and their names may be published on the giveaway page under a pseudonym. It is not possible to have the prize paid out in cash or exchanged for physical goods.
Advertising:
The free version of GameForest.de is financed by advertising banners provided by various service providers. We undertake not to deliver offensive, sexist, racist or misleading advertising. If you nevertheless come across problematic advertising, we ask you to let us know, preferably via the Feedback forum on GameForest.de, including a screenshot and the target link of the relevant ad placement. The same applies to advertising within embeds of content from third-party platforms such as videos, podcasts or social media.
Offers and conclusion of contract:
All offers on our website are non-binding and are subject to the General Terms and Conditions of our online service or of the companies involved.
Term and cancellation:
Free user accounts can be cancelled at any time. The term and cancellation conditions for paid subscriptions are set out in our General Terms and Conditions.
Right of withdrawal:
As a consumer under § 13 BGB, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of a clear statement. You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this, although this is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send the notice of exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.
If you withdraw, we will refund all payments to you, including delivery costs, without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. No fees will be charged for the refund.
Youth protection:
At GameForest, we take youth protection seriously and are a member of the Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body (USK). Certain content on our platform is subject to the German Youth Protection Act and is not suitable for adolescents or minors. To restrict access for these age groups, parents or guardians can install and configure the government-approved youth protection program JusProg.

In the event of disputes, we do not take part in out-of-court online dispute resolution proceedings. For business dealings with consumers within the European Union, the consumer protection laws of the consumer’s country of residence may also apply. For disputes with merchants and legal entities under public law, Munich is agreed as the place of jurisdiction. These terms of use are governed exclusively by German law.
