Shantae and the Seven Sirens brings the fifth Metroidvania adventure of the half-genie Shantae to smartphones and tablets. On a tropical island, Shantae’s new half-genie friends vanish during a festival. To rescue them, the heroine descends into a sunken city full of magical creatures, winding dungeons and dangerous sirens.

Shantae’s 2D adventure on the go

The connected game world can be explored step by step with new fusion magic abilities: Shantae transforms into animal forms, dives through secret passages, fights enemies with her ponytail and uses dance spells to open hidden paths. Monster cards improve their traits. Anime-style cutscenes, an intro by Studio TRIGGER, mini-games and well-known characters such as Risky Boots accompany the single-player story. The Spectacular Superstar modes added later are part of the game version.

Crunchyroll Game Vault – important access note

The current mobile release by Crunchyroll, LLC can be downloaded free from the App Store or Google Play, but playing it requires a paid Crunchyroll membership at the Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan level. A regular Steam, console or standard game key does not unlock this app. The earlier Apple Arcade offer from 2019 was discontinued in 2024 and is not the current subscription version. So check which platform and which purchase type an offer is for.

Android version via Google Play

Crunchyroll released the native Android version in November 2024 under the package ID com.crunchyroll.gv.shantae7sirens.game. The Google Play Store lists Crunchyroll, LLC as the seller and shows the app with in-app purchases; the current version can only be played by members of Crunchyroll Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan. The November 2024 date is deliberately limited to the month that can be verified. A separately purchasable Android full version without a subscription is not documented.
