Forest Legends: The Call of Love – forbidden love in the enchanted forest
Humans and the cat-like shapeshifters, the Felizes, have been at odds for a long time in this fairytale adventure. Eveline, the daughter of a human hunter, loves Aurelio, a young Feliz. When Aurelio is wounded and kidnapped, Eveline travels through the magical wilderness to rescue him and overcome the conflict between their peoples.
Hidden object scenes, object puzzles and magic potions
The point-and-click adventure developed by Alawar Stargaze lets you explore lovingly designed scenes, search for hidden objects and combine them into tools or magic potions. A small dragon helps Eveline find her way. Along the way she meets mysterious forest beings and characters who have information or tasks for her. Mini-games, hidden object scenes and puzzles are the focus, not fast real-time combat.
The historical iPhone and iPad version
The title also came out as a native iOS game in December 2013, distributed by Big Fish Games. There was an app described for iPhone and a separate HD version for iPad, which offered the same core of the hidden object adventure. Both belong to the iOS platform and are not additional Windows or console releases.
The official trailer from Big Fish Games explains that the story could initially be tried for free and that full access, as well as the additional Collector’s Edition chapter, could be unlocked within the app. Whether the former app versions can still be bought on the App Store or launched on current iOS devices is not reliably confirmed.
