Queen’s Quest: Tower of Darkness is a fairytale hidden object adventure for iPhone and iPad. The historical iOS version was adapted by Artifex Mundi for touchscreen control. The game world combines hand-drawn fantasy locations with hidden objects, combination puzzles and a story about rescuing a royal family.
The search for the abducted daughter
An evil sorcerer breaks into the palace and abducts the queen’s daughter. While trying to rescue her, Prince Henrik turns to stone. Only his magically gifted godfather Magnus can protect the queen. On her journey, the ruler finds clues to an ancient curse and discovers the link between the abduction and her husband’s past.
Hidden object puzzles on the touchscreen
According to the original publisher text, the mobile version includes 30 hand-drawn locations and 39 puzzles or hidden object scenes. Alongside the main story, a bonus adventure to rescue Prince Henrik was offered as content in the Collector’s Edition. Controls are designed for smartphones and tablets. An internet connection is not required to play the original version.
Historical iOS version and availability
The game was already released in 2015 as a standalone iOS app. Historical app directories confirm the version for iPhone and iPad, as well as German localisation. However, a current public Apple App Store page with a clearly verified product ID could no longer be confirmed, so the historical iOS version is listed as no longer officially available. This is not a PC Steam licence and not a standalone PlayStation version either.
