RI0T is the mobile version of Leonard Menchiari’s real-time strategy game about protests and police operations, released for iPhone and iPad. You experience conflicts from the perspective of the demonstrators or the police forces, and can try to calm a crowd, hold positions or influence a situation with offensive tactics. The developer has adapted and simplified the mobile version for touch devices.
Four historical campaigns
The iOS version includes missions on the Indignados protests in Spain, the NoTAV movement in Italy, the conflicts in Keratea in Greece and the Tahrir Revolution in Egypt. Additional locations include Oakland, Rome and Ukraine. In Story mode you play alone against the AI; in local Versus mode, two people can compete against each other on the same device.
Dedicated iOS edition
The app was released in August 2020 under the name R I 0 T and is a separately available iOS app, not a Steam key or a macOS version. The App Store version lists English as the language and requires at least iOS 10 or iPadOS 10. It should not be confused with the separately released, content-reduced demo RIOT: NoTAV.
