Technobabylon for iPhone and iPad brings the cyberpunk crime adventure from Technocrat Games to Apple mobile devices. In 2087, the city of Newton is monitored by an omnipresent AI called Central. A serial killer can steal knowledge via implanted brain interfaces and kill his victims in the process. The investigators Charlie Regis and Max Lao, as well as the isolated internet addict Latha Sesame, stumble into the same conspiracy from different directions.
Point-and-click puzzles for touchscreens
The story is told from three intertwined perspectives. You investigate locations, talk to characters, combine items and move through real and virtual environments of the gloomy future city. The iOS version keeps the characteristic pixel art style, the English dialogue and the fully voiced conversations. Instead of PC mouse controls, you control it directly via the touchscreen.
Standalone App Store version
Wadjet Eye Games released the native iPhone/iPad version on Aug 16, 2017. It is sold as a standalone premium app, not as a Steam key; a license for Windows, Mac or Linux does not unlock the mobile version. Apple lists English as the language, iOS 10 or later as the original system requirement, and an Apple age rating of 13+. The Dark Futures Bundle listed in the App Store bundles several standalone games from the publisher; it is not a separate Deluxe version of Technobabylon.
