The Battle of Polytopia is a turn-based 4X strategy game by Midjiwan. On a colourful map built from squares, you lead a tribe, explore new terrain, found and develop cities and expand your influence. Each turn, you decide whether to invest in technological advances, new units, infrastructure or military advances. The small maps and clear rules make every match accessible, while the different tribal abilities and random maps add tactical variety.
The iOS version supports single-player and multiplayer matches. Starting out on iPhone and iPad is free. Additional tribes and cosmetic variants can be unlocked as in-app purchases; this extra content is not part of the free download. The Apple App Store lists this native mobile version separately from the PC and Nintendo Switch products. A matching mobile version for the other operating system requires the respective store app.
