All Hail the Cook-o-tron: Cooking under time pressure on Meta Quest
Instead of just picking dishes from a list, in All Hail the Cook-o-tron you stand at a virtual kitchen station yourself. In the futuristic game show, the infamous robot gourmet Cook-o-tron judges how fast and cleanly you prepare meals for your customers. As Time Traveler Number 21, you must prove your skills against cooks from other eras.
36 trials with physics controls
According to the official store, the standalone Meta Quest version includes 36 hand-built campaign levels, six boss duels, seven cooking stations and over 80 dishes. Ingredients are grabbed, chopped, combined and plated with the Touch controllers. Customers react differently to long waits and kitchen mistakes. Besides the campaign, there is an Arcade mode with an online leaderboard, plus an easy and a particularly demanding difficulty level.
Standalone VR version
The game was released on March 16, 2021 on the Meta Store and runs directly on Meta Quest, Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3 and Quest 3S, without a connected gaming PC. Seated, standing and roomscale play are supported. Unlike the SteamVR version, which lists 30 campaign levels, Meta has 36 levels. The game language is English and the US age rating is Everyone 10+.
