Mini Motor Racing X is a colourful arcade racer with small cars, large tracks and plenty of chaos. Across 52 courses, the races take you through harbours, deserts, tropical landscapes and other environments with different times of day and weather conditions. Alongside classic races, the Type-X mode brings weapons and extra competition onto the track.
Career with tuning and nitro
In career mode you earn money, buy and upgrade new mini race cars and work your way through championships. Instead of a racing simulation, the focus is on fast steering, drifts and simple, instantly understandable action. Beyond the bird’s-eye view, certain versions offer alternative camera settings up to a cockpit view.
Four-player racing mayhem
You can race alone against the AI, play local split-screen races with others or compete online with up to four people. Shared career sections and extra party modes such as Bumper Ball are also part of the package. Which VR features, local game modes and languages are available depends on the platform.
Native VR version for Meta Quest
On Meta Quest, Mini Motor Racing X has been available as a standalone headset app since May 14, 2020. Unlike the Steam and PlayStation versions, this version does not need a PC or PS4 to play. In the VR space you can watch from the cockpit, from above or from the race track and race against other players. Meta lists support for Quest headsets including Quest 2 and Quest 3, as well as up to four players, co-op and party modes. The Quest game has been graphically enhanced through updates and supports German menu text alongside English, among other languages. The official video from PlayStation Europe used here shows the shared gameplay mechanics and PSVR footage, not the Quest-specific interface.
