R.E.P.O. is a cooperative physics horror game from the independent studio semiwork. As small robots, you roam abandoned, eerie places and search for valuable objects that must be recovered for a mysterious client. Between the finds, dangerous creatures lurk – and a single careless move can destroy your haul.
Recover valuables, avoid monsters
The game world and all movable objects follow a physics simulation. Delicate porcelain must not break, and heavy pianos can only be moved with good strategy. Using a grabber, the robots lift, carry and manoeuvre the finds through narrow rooms and corridors to the extraction point. Again and again you must decide whether another haul is worth it or whether the next monster will stop your escape.
Online co-op with unpredictable missions
Levels are assembled procedurally and bring new rooms, obstacles and dangers. The interplay between exploring, hiding and frantic communication keeps the tension up even when only one small item is missing. Successful missions unlock extra equipment and upgrades for later runs. On PC, R.E.P.O. can be played with up to six people; a separately confirmed maximum player count for Switch 2 is not yet available.
Native Nintendo Switch 2 version
The Switch 2 version was announced by Nintendo and semiwork in the Indie World Showcase on Oct 28, 2026 for 2027. A specific release date, an eShop product ID and the console languages have not yet been officially verified. The Windows PC version already launched in Early Access on Feb 26, 2025. A native version for the original Nintendo Switch has not been confirmed.
