The native Nintendo Switch 2 version of Reel Fishing: Days of Summer expands the original summer fishing trip with a new ice fishing region, additional fishing gear, extra missions and supplementary stories. According to Natsume, resolution, refresh rate and loading times also improve. Thanks to Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, you can also operate the virtual fishing in a new way.
New fishing adventures in winter
In addition to the original 14 fishing spots, the Switch 2 Edition adds ice fishing. New rods, reels and lures help you land fish. The familiar trips through river landscapes and tropical forests also remain. More than 40 fish species, over 50 gear types and an aquarium for caught fish provide long-term goals.
Three friends and many side quests
You switch between three friends with different talents, improve your abilities and cook dishes with helpful effects. The additional stories and wishes of the Switch 2 version expand their journey. Nintendo publishes it as a standalone Switch 2 product, not just as backward-compatible Switch software.
If you already own the original Nintendo Switch version, Nintendo instead offers a separately paid Switch 2 upgrade pack. This upgrade is not a standalone new base game. Nintendo confirms English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese as on-screen languages; German is not offered.
