The Sinking City 2 for Nintendo Switch 2
Frogwares is also bringing the Lovecraftian survival horror game The Sinking City 2 natively to the Nintendo Switch 2. The version was announced on Aug 26, 2026 during the Future Games Show and is due in 2027. An exact date, a Nintendo eShop product ID and technical details for the Switch 2 version have not yet been published.
Survival in flooded Arkham
The game takes you to a water-swallowed city in the 1920s. As Calvin Rafferty, you try to save your lover Faye, whose soul is trapped in the Dreamlands after a failed ritual. In search of the cause of the flood, you pass through gloomy alleys, crumbling houses, a fish market and cursed ruins.
Lovecraftian horror instead of ordinary detective work
The focus is on tense third-person combat, the search for ammo and healing items, and smart inventory management. Eerie Slithers and deep-sea creatures make life hard for you. You solve puzzles, investigate clues and unlock additional paths and equipment upgrades through side cases. The sequel is aimed more at classic survival horror than the first part.
What is known about the Switch 2 version
The original PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release took place on Aug 18, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is a separate native release planned for 2027, not a backward-compatible Switch 1 version. No details on frame rate, languages or additional eShop content have been announced so far.
