City of None for Nintendo Switch
City of None is coming in 2027 as a standalone version for Nintendo Switch. Developed by Noel and Liam Berry together with Extremely OK Games, this 2D action adventure sends you as a ghost in a wooden body into a decaying metropolis. Powerful barons have brought the city under their control. To win it back, you explore eerie districts and face ghosts, wild beasts and dangerous robots.
Five districts and a whole network full of secrets
The metropolis consists of five sectors, which you reach by train. Each district brings its own environments, gameplay challenges and a distinctive four-color pixel palette. Hidden paths, new equipment and abilities gradually open further sections. In short, fast fights you fend off enemies; alongside the confrontations, encounters with city residents tell you more about the state of the metropolis.
A platform adventure from a Celeste co-developer
Precise jumping, exploration and puzzles blend together in City of None. One of the co-developers previously worked on Celeste, but here a connected city world and its changing districts take center stage. Nintendo officially confirmed the native Nintendo Switch version at the Indie World Showcase on Oct 28, 2026 for 2027. An exact release date, a separate eShop product number, the Switch language list and a price are still pending. The official developer presentation shows general gameplay material, not a dedicated Switch capture.
