Ace of Seafood was released on November 30, 2016 as a standalone Wii U version of the quirky underwater action game from Nussoft. In a future without humans, you lead a swarm of up to six fish, crabs or other sea dwellers. Instead of just swimming, they fight battles with laser beams, capture reefs and build up their group.
A school of fish in the open sea
You explore the underwater landscape from a third-person perspective, challenge hostile creatures and recruit them as allies after successful battles. Reefs serve as bases where the group can be strengthened. Even large sea creatures and ships appear as opponents.
Historical Nintendo version
The Wii U version was published by the developer itself on the Japanese Nintendo eShop. It is a standalone native Wii U game and not a Switch version or backward compatibility release. According to the original press release, this version offers single-player support and received the CERO B age rating in Japan. The Wii U eShop was later discontinued, so the game is listed as a historical release.
