In-game currency and items for ARK: Survival Ascended
ARK: Survival Ascended rebuilds the dinosaur survival of ARK: Survival Evolved in Unreal Engine 5. On The Island you start with no gear, gather resources, craft tools, build a base and work your way from an improvised camp up to complex production chains and fortified facilities.
Survival, building and taming dinosaurs
Hunger, thirst, temperature and weather are part of everyday life, as are predators and rival players. Hundreds of creatures can be tamed, trained, bred and ridden. Their uses range from transport and resource gathering to combat. In a tribe, players can assign tasks, build together and organize themselves in PvE or PvP worlds.
Rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5
Survival Ascended reworks the ARK worlds with Lumen lighting, Nanite geometry, dynamic water and interactive vegetation. Also included are reworked user interfaces, creature navigation, wild juveniles, photo and camera features, a new map and tracking system, as well as cross-platform mods and cross-platform multiplayer.
Worlds and expansions
The base version includes The Island and gradually receives the rebuilt classic ARK worlds at no extra cost. Separately sold add-ons also exist, such as Bob’s Tall Tales, Astraeos, Fantastic Tames and the Lost Colony Expansion Pass. Commercial bundles that merely combine the base game with such add-ons are not standalone games.
PC and Steam version
On PC, ARK: Survival Ascended has been available in Early Access on Steam since Oct 25, 2023. The PC version supports single player, online and LAN PvP, online and LAN co-op, split screen and cross-platform multiplayer. For installation, Steam currently lists 180 GB of free storage and requires an SSD.
