Cathedral Soundtrack: the music of the retro adventure
The separately available Cathedral Soundtrack brings together the chiptune and retro tracks from the Metroidvania by Decemberborn Interactive. Composer Aron Kramer combines driving battle music with atmospheric melodies for the forest areas, towns and dungeons of the game. The album also includes earlier versions of some tracks that were replaced during development.
49 music tracks including bonus material
The official Steam release lists 49 tracks. These include the main theme “Overture”, boss battle music with Augr and Ardur, and themes from Shade Forest and Icepeak Mountain. Several B-sides and a remix of the announcement trailer supplement the original soundtrack. The music pack does not expand the game world and does not include the base game.
PC soundtrack as a separate product
The album was released on Steam on June 8, 2020 and is also available on GOG as “Cathedral OST”. It is a standalone audio product for the PC game Cathedral and not another playable spin-off. Steam lists 47 MB of free storage as the requirement for the download.
