Celeste Blue Wizard Luna: Resistance against the Black Witch
The Japanese role-playing game Celeste Blue Wizard Luna is set on Jupiterno, a continent floating high above the rest of the world. There, Princess Lucia rules in place of the king. As a so-called True Mage, she has superhuman powers. When her rule turns into a reign of terror, the talented sorceress Luna opposes her and, together with allies, founds a resistance movement.
Turn-based battles in a fantasy world
The journey takes the group through towns, forests, dungeons and the various regions of Jupiterno. Battles are turn-based. Luna and her companions fight monsters and other enemies, use magical abilities and try to push back the royal troops. The title combines classic JRPG mechanics with an extensive story and hand-drawn character portraits.
The characters at the center
Luna was once among the best students at Valentina Magic Academy. The warrior Becky, who wields her axe as resolutely as she defends her family, supports her in building the rebellion. The mysterious traveler Lede also meets the group. In contrast stands Lucia, a powerful mage who tolerates no resistance. Alongside the political conflict, Luna’s relationship with her childhood friend Noah plays a role.
Scope and PC version
Developer Gyu promises more than ten hours of main story and an extensive game world. The Windows version offers English as well as Simplified and Traditional Chinese interface texts and subtitles. The characters have Japanese voice acting; German on-screen texts are not announced. Steam also supports cloud saves and single-player mode.
