Feed The Forest – turn the wasteland into a sprawling snail economy
In Feed The Forest, developer Indoor Sunglasses lets you create an ever-growing forest on initially barren ground. What starts as a small experiment with one snail and a few plants gradually becomes a multi-layered cycle of resources, upgrades and automated processes. This unusual idle game combines relaxed watching with decisions about where you plant, which resources you invest in and how quickly your little ecosystem expands.
Snails, raw materials and automation
Your snails help you open up new areas and gain resources for the next development step. Besides juice and rotting biomass, more unusual materials also play a role. By skillfully combining different plants and production steps, you speed up the growth of the forest. More than a hundred upgrades, additional helpers and further unlockable options ensure that the first simple actions grow into an increasingly complex system.
Planning isn’t just about making numbers as big as possible. The arrangement and cooperation of the elements determine how efficiently your production runs. New options let you automate existing processes and focus on the next expansion stage. The quirky humor and the occasionally grim depiction of unrestrained growth give the otherwise accessible management game formula a character of its own.
Release and PC version
Indoor Sunglasses plans to release the full version on Steam for Nov 2, 2026. The native Windows version is confirmed, with support for German and English text, among others. A separately offered free demo gives a first look at the game mechanics, but is not standalone extra content. Whether console or mobile versions will follow has not been confirmed so far.
