Four players against giant war machines

Ironsand is a cooperative roguelite shooter from a first-person perspective by Renderise. A distress signal leads you to a desert planet that has been overrun by a hostile robot army. The inhabitants, the long-eared people, can barely resist the giant war machines on their own. Together with up to three other players, you fight through enemy troops, defend positions and face massive titans.

Team roles and combined abilities

Your group is made up of different combat roles. Offensive, defensive and support skills can be combined while waves of drones and heavily armored enemies attack. Every run offers chances to find new equipment, upgrade weapons and change your build with elemental damage, status effects and other modifiers. This creates combinations that enable a different tactic on your next run.

Titans, cover and destructible arenas

The huge titans have different weapons and attack patterns. Missile barrages, gun turrets and heavy artillery demand good timing and teamwork. The environment is more than mere scenery: buildings, bridges and cover can be destroyed in firefights. This creates new lines of fire, but also dangerous situations for your own team. Rescued long-ears can support your squad on further missions.

Solo or online co-op

The PC version was released on Aug 20, 2026 on Steam and can be played solo or online with up to four people. German interface and subtitles are available, the voice acting is in English. Alongside the base game there is a free demo and the separately available Supporter Pack with a digital artbook and desktop wallpapers. The Deluxe Edition only bundles the base game with the Supporter Pack and is not a standalone version of the game.
