Melvor Idle 2: A RuneScape Adventure continues the idle RPG from Games by Malcs as a standalone sequel. You train interconnected skills, gather resources and build up your character step by step – even when you are not actively sitting in front of the screen. The sequel launches on Nov 17, 2026 initially in Steam Early Access for PC.
Skills, quests and combat
Woodcutting, mining, smithing, cooking and farming work together: resources and items from one skill help you with the next. For combat, you develop melee, ranged and magic skills, take on monsters and bosses, and work your way through dungeons. A new quest system tells the story of Melvor and leads through additional challenges. The reworked Mastery section, new game modes and a modernized equipment and bank management deepen long-term character development.
What is included in the Early Access launch?
For the first Early Access version, the development team names skills including Astrology, Herblore and Agility, more than 1,800 items, over 150 monsters, further companions and the second act of the main story. According to the developer, the level cap available at launch is initially 99; the larger game concept later envisions 29 skills and level 120. Progress from the free demo is to be carried over.
PC version and gameplay
According to the store, the Steam version supports Windows, macOS and Linux. You play alone, can back up your save games to a cloud and customize the game with mods. A later mobile version with shared cloud progress has been announced, but without a confirmed store release yet. The game promises no microtransactions in the base game; future major expansions are planned separately.
