FullBlast: Classic alien shooter in modern 3D look
In FullBlast you defend Earth against a massive alien invasion. In this vertically scrolling shoot ’em up, your fighter jet relentlessly flies upward while you dodge enemy fire and destroy enemy machines, ground targets and huge creatures. The gameplay builds on arcade classics of the 1980s and 1990s and combines them with colorful 3D environments.
Twelve missions and seven large enemies
The campaign includes twelve varied levels. Along the way, four mini-bosses and three particularly large final bosses put you to the test. Three difficulty levels allow a comparatively gentle start or much more demanding attack waves. Collected power-ups improve your weapons, but not every item helps: power-downs can take away your advantages again. Mission objectives and leaderboards provide extra motivation.
Together against the invasion
The PC and console versions support local two-player co-op, and you can also play the campaign alone. The fast-paced shootouts are accompanied by a heavy metal soundtrack. Unlike particularly complex bullet hell games, easy-to-access arcade action, dodging maneuvers and the right timing of weapon upgrades take center stage.
Original and platform versions
UFO Crash Games first released FullBlast for mobile devices in 2014 and later on Wii U. The PC version with Windows and macOS support came out in January 2016. Ratalaika Games brought the game to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2018, among others. On newer consoles it can sometimes run via backward compatibility, without creating a separate native PS5 or Xbox Series version.
