Turn-based football with role-playing system
Ganbare! Super Strikers plays differently from classic football simulations. You move your anime players across the pitch on a tactical grid and set passes, tackles, runs and shots in individual turns. In the campaign, you form a Japanese team, face rivals and work your way up to international-level matches.
Train, equip, plan tactics
Players gain experience during the game and can improve with equipment. More than 35 special abilities boost attacks or trigger status effects such as sleep, silence and poison. Matches with seven or eleven players per team create different tactical situations. Alongside the single-player story, there are local multiplayer matches and tournament modes.
Portable version for PS Vita
The PS Vita version was released in Europe at the end of February 2020 as a separate version. Sony and distributor Eastasiasoft confirm a shared purchase with the PS4 edition (Cross-Buy); this does not make it a PS4 game, but a natively playable handheld title. Eastasiasoft lists English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Japanese subtitles and local game variants. The PlayStation Store for PS4/PS Vita refers to buying the same license. A standalone, publicly confirmed PS Vita store product code is not documented.
