Genkai Tokki Moero Chronicle (限界凸記 モエロクロニクル) is the original Japanese version of the dungeon crawler RPG later released as Moero Chronicle for PC and Nintendo Switch. Compile Heart released the game for PlayStation Vita on May 15, 2014. In the fantasy world of Monstopia, the story follows young Io, who must find out in dangerous labyrinths why many monster girls have suddenly turned hostile.
First-person dungeons, group battles and character relationships
You explore dungeons from a first-person perspective, fight in turn-based battles and recruit defeated monster girls for your own team. Up to 50 allies form a group of five active members, whose abilities, gear and mutual relationships are crucial in battle. Gifts, costume changes and the Bumping Scratch interaction typical of the game are part of the character and progression systems. The very racy anime art is aimed at an older audience.
Japanese PS Vita original version
The native Vita version was originally released in Japan and carries a CERO D rating for ages 17 and up; it is not interchangeable with a European PC Steam key or the Switch HD version Moero Chronicle Hyper. The developer’s site also lists a limited collector’s edition alongside the regular physical and digital releases, but it is not a separate game version. Historical magazine and event codes for extra costumes or special monsters are not current, universally purchasable expansions.
