BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites is the standalone remake, released in 2021, of WayForward’s 2D vampire action game. Working for the Brimstone Society, half-vampire Rayne descends into a gloomy castle, where monstrous enemies, merciless traps and her own family history await. Across 15 stages, her mission leads her to a fight against her father Kagan.
Bloody side-view action
With arm blades, firearms, jump combos and special vampiric powers, Rayne takes on her enemies. Whoever bites at the right moment refills their life energy. Tough boss enemies and tricky platforming sections demand focus and quick reactions.
Re-release for PlayStation 4
Fresh Bites improves the hand-drawn look of the comic graphics and adds English dialogue to the originally unvoiced game, with Laura Bailey as Rayne and Troy Baker as Kagan. Alongside the original hard difficulty, there is a newly balanced variant. The PS4 version supports German on-screen text and English voice audio, was released on Sep 9, 2021, and is a standalone full game, not a Deluxe DLC for the 2011 game. A separate native PS5 version also offers a mode with 120 FPS.
