In Catmaze for PlayStation 4, you join the young sorceress Alesta on her search for a way into the land of the dead, Nav. Inspired by Slavic legends, the adventure leads through dense forests, mysterious swamps and enchanted villages, where mythical creatures and hidden paths lie concealed.
Metroidvania with summoning
Alesta does not face her enemies alone: magical companions with different traits fight at her side while you jump through winding 2D areas, discover new abilities and explore previously unreachable regions again. Alongside boss battles, side quests await whose choices affect the end of the story. The pixelated fantasy world was designed by Slava Gris under the name Redblack Spade.

They are nonetheless two separate platform versions, not two different editions. The on-screen languages include German, English and five other languages.
