Gigantic: Rampage Edition is a team-based fantasy hero shooter in which two teams of five players fight each other. You choose one of numerous different heroes, use their weapons and special abilities, and try with your group to defeat the enemy guardian. At the same time, you need to protect your own guardian and control the most important areas of the map.
Fast Rush, tactical Clash
Rush brings shorter, more accessible team battles, while Clash revisits the more strategically focused style of the original. Added are the new heroes Roland and Kajir, additional battlefields such as Picaro Bay and Heaven’s Ward, customizable abilities and unlockable designs. Crossplay lets friends on different platforms team up; custom matches are also possible.
PS4 release and requirements
The standalone paid re-release from Abstraction Games and Arc Games came out on April 9, 2024. The native PlayStation 4 version offers online battles for up to ten players, supports DUALSHOCK 4 vibration and requires PlayStation Plus for online play. It features German menus and German, English and French voice-over. The native PS5 version, also available, is listed separately. The original free-to-play Gigantic, shut down in 2018, is not required; “Rampage Edition” is the full name of the re-release.
