Hunter’s Arena: Legends – the melee battle royale on PS4
Hunter’s Arena: Legends takes you into a fantasy world inspired by ancient East Asian legends and demonic creatures. You play as a hunter competing against other players while also fighting monsters that threaten the world after a mystical seal is broken. Instead of gunfights, swords, martial arts, precise counters and acrobatic combos decide the battles.
In the survival fight, timing and loot matter
The battle royale rounds, originally designed for up to 30 participants, lead through forests, snowy landscapes and volcanic areas. Dungeons contain PvE enemies and powerful boss demons that leave behind particularly rare gear. Whether you risk such fights or lie in ambush for other hunters may decide your chances in the final duel.
Solo or in a team of three
There were 17 playable hunters with individual combat skills to choose from. Besides solo rounds, there was a trio mode in which you could coordinate with two teammates. The native PS4 version launched on Aug 3, 2021 together with the PS5 version and offered enhanced graphics on PS4 Pro as well as DualShock 4 vibration.
Online service and current availability
Mantisco announced on Apr 1, 2024 that the online service and paid content will be discontinued. No exact shutdown date was given in that announcement. The game requires an online connection, and PS Plus was required on the PlayStation Network. The German PlayStation Store currently no longer offers regular purchases. A historical PS4 key is therefore no proof that online matches are still playable today.
