I Saw Black Clouds: interactive psychological thriller
In I Saw Black Clouds Kristina returns to her hometown after the death of a friend. What at first looks like a search for an explanation becomes a psychological thriller full of conflicting memories and mysterious encounters. The game by Ghost Dog Films and publisher Wales Interactive uses real film footage instead of animated characters.
Choices and relationships
Your answers decide which people Kristina trusts, how she processes difficult experiences and which of several story paths you follow. In the background, the game records relationships and personality traits. Replaying lets you discover other scenes and endings. A streamer mode lets viewers take part in decisions.
A dark film you play
The story, filmed in the UK, combines mystery with emotional conflicts and supernatural hints. Nicole O’Neill and Rachel Jackson are part of the cast. The title deals with trauma and suicide, among other things, and is therefore not aimed at a young audience.
PlayStation 4 version
The original PS4 version came out on Mar 30, 2021. It offers the story with English audio and German on-screen text. For PlayStation 5 there is also a separate native version, sold in the German store since Oct 2023. The age rating for the German PS4 version is USK 18.
