Spirit Hunters: Infinite Horde combines horde battles with a roguelite progression system. You control one of eight unlockable heroes through waves of ever-new enemies. Abilities trigger their attacks largely on their own, so positioning, dodging and choosing the right upgrades are what count. Defeated monsters leave behind souls, which you use to build ever-stronger combinations of attacks and effects within a single run.

New heroes and permanent upgrades

The game offers 14 base abilities with two modifiers each, nine maps with three difficulty levels, and more than 20 unlockable companions. In the Oracle’s Divine Web you unlock long-term benefits, while the Logbook records your tasks and achievements. Alongside the regular runs there is a demanding hardcore mode with permadeath. Over 200 enemy types keep the monster hunting varied.

The PS4 version

The version released for PlayStation 4 appeared on the German PlayStation Store on July 18, 2023. There it is a separate product version alongside the native PS5 release. The game can be played offline and solo, includes German on-screen text, and does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription for the usual single-player content. The PS4 software can also run on PS5 via backward compatibility, but that does not replace the separate PS5 title.
