As Jango Fett you take on jobs in the galaxy’s underworld in STAR WARS: Bounty Hunter. The adventure is set before Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. With two blasters, a flamethrower, a grappling whip, a scanner and a jetpack, you hunt enemies and extra bounty targets. The missions combine third-person shootouts with platforming sections and exploration.
The native PlayStation 4 port from 2024
Aspyr released the updated version in summer 2024 for PlayStation 4 and other modern systems. It is based on the original GameCube source code and brings improved textures, dynamic lighting, a new flashlight for dark levels and updated controls with an optional classic scheme. After completing the campaign, an alternative Boba Fett look can be unlocked; it is not a separately sold DLC.
Telling PS4 and PS5 apart
This is the native PS4 version of the Aspyr re-release. The 2024 PS5 version has its own native app and uses extra DualSense features; it is therefore listed as a separate platform. There is also an older PS4 emulation of the 2002 PS2 version on the PlayStation Store, offered since 2016. Its different program does not belong to this re-release. If you buy a PlayStation code, check the year, product and target platform.
Game modes and language
The action game offers a single-player campaign with no online co-op. Besides English, German on-screen text and German voice acting are available. The modernized version is worth it for players who want to experience Jango’s backstory in the original mission design, but with more current visuals and controls.
