Hammer & Shield for Company of Heroes 3 on PS5
The Hammer & Shield expansion pack is a separately available DLC for the native PlayStation 5 version of Company of Heroes 3. It adds the Advanced Infantry Battlegroup with Rangers to the US forces and the Italian coastal defence battlegroup with bunkers, reservists and artillery to the Wehrmacht. The British Air and Sea campaign company expands the Italy campaign.
Additional designs and PS5 activation
Four cosmetic design packs for the armies are also included. The PlayStation Store lists Mar 12, 2024 as the release date. The PS5 Console Edition of the main game is required; the pack cannot be played independently. PlayStation Plus is needed for online modes.
On PC, a content-reduced Hammer & Shield Battlegroup re-release was published in 2026. The PS5 Store SKU, by contrast, belongs to the original expansion pack with campaign company and designs, not to the new Steam version.
