DLCs and expansions
Green Hell VR for PlayStation 5 lets you explore the Amazon rainforest up close with PlayStation VR2. As anthropologist Jake Higgins, you must hold your ground against predators, poisonous plants and the remains of failed expeditions. You craft tools, weapons and bandages with movements of the Sense controllers while keeping an eye on hunger, exhaustion and mental health.
Solo or co-op
Besides the survival struggle and the story, the PS VR2 version has offered online co-op for up to four people since a free update. Playing together on PlayStation requires PS Plus. The additional chapter Spirits of Amazonia: Part 1 expands the adventure without a separate purchase.
Standalone PS VR2 version
The native PS5 version, released on August 15, 2023, requires a PlayStation VR2 headset and Sense controllers. It is neither the regular Green Hell without VR nor a PS4/PS VR1 game. The separately available cosmetic clothing packs only expand the character’s gear and do not include the main game.
