In PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS up to 100 players fight to survive in a tactical battle royale. Parachute out over a map, search for weapons and armor vests, use vehicles and move in time into the ever-shrinking safe zone. Besides solo matches, duo and squad games with coordinated teamwork are possible.
Standalone native PS5 version
Since Nov 13, 2025 the console version has been offered natively for PlayStation 5. The PS5 version replaces the discontinued PS4 edition and improves image quality and stability. KRAFTON cites 1440p at 60 frames per second for PS5 and dynamic 4K output at 60 fps for PS5 Pro. The current console version supports crossplay between PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Base game, extras and download
The base game follows the free-to-play model and is delivered via the PlayStation Store; store handling and possible regional age verification fees may differ. Cosmetic content, event passes and G-Coin are optional extra purchases, not standalone versions of the base game. An online connection is required; this is not a backward compatibility version of the PS4 client.
