Humanity lives in a distant, destroyed future on the giant machine Basel. There, the mercenaries Zephyr, Leanne and Vashyron take on jobs, get caught up in the power struggles of the upper class and uncover the connections behind a world where technology even determines life cycles. Resonance of Fate, called End of Eternity in Japan, combines this story with an unusual tactical shooter RPG.
Acrobatic gunfights and extensive weapon customization
The three heroes attack with pistols and submachine guns, jump over enemies and combine their movement into elaborate team attacks. Whoever carefully matches positioning, damage types and weapon modifications can win tough encounters. Between battles you explore the levels of Basel and complete missions.
What’s new in the PS5 version?
The Enhanced Remaster edition builds on the 4K/HD re-release from 2018. tri-Ace cites native 4K output, HDR support, revised character and environment textures and a new mode with double game speed. The modernized presentation is meant to show off the steampunk setting and the dynamic gunfights more clearly; compatible hardware and displays are needed for the respective display features.
Standalone PS5 game instead of PS4 backward compatibility
The Japanese PlayStation Store has listed a standalone native PS5 full version since Oct 30, 2026 with product code JP0062-PPSA39354_00-0293097849496234. It is not a DLC and not just the backward-compatible PS4 version. An upgrade is also offered for owners of the older 4K/HD Edition. On PC, the Enhanced Remaster technical package instead appears as a paid Steam DLC for the base game there, not as a standalone PC game.

The Japanese store confirms, among other things, German on-screen text as well as English and Japanese voice audio. The verified product code belongs to the Japanese PlayStation Store; a separate German PS5 Store ID has not been confirmed.
