Godfall: Magic melee combat and legendary loot

In the action RPG Godfall by Counterplay Games, you play as the Valorean warrior Orin. The radiant fantasy world of Aperion is threatened with ruin in a war with his brother Macros. With powerful armor, known as Valor Plates, you fight your way through the realms of earth, water and air, collecting gear to master new abilities and ever stronger enemies.

The looter slasher with five weapon classes

Godfall combines fast, precise third-person combat with collecting and upgrading loot. You choose between longsword, greatsword, war hammer, polearm and dual blades. Twelve Valor Plates change your playstyle with their abilities. After the campaign, Dreamstones and the Tower of Trials offer further challenges. You can fight alone or with up to two other players in online co-op. A constant online connection is required.

Which Godfall version is worth it?

The original base game was released in 2020 for PlayStation 5 and PC. PlayStation 4 followed in 2021, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in 2022. The separately released expansion Fire & Darkness adds the Fire Realm. The Ultimate Edition bundles the base game, expansion and earlier cosmetic bonuses in one purchase. It is therefore a bundle of the same game version, not a different game client. The Challenger Edition, by contrast, mainly offers endgame modes without the original campaign. The full story requires a separately available upgrade.

Xbox One: Godfall was released on Xbox One on Apr 7, 2022, with the Ultimate Edition as a digital complete package. Smart Delivery provides the matching native Xbox Series version. An Xbox One game key is not a separate license for an invented Ultimate Edition game version.
