Dad’s Monster House is a hand-drawn puzzle adventure by Cotton Game that combines an eerie family story with unusual residents. In the middle of the night, Carlos receives a cry for help from his father. He returns to the house of his childhood, discovers locked rooms, strange machines and grotesque, sometimes almost lovable monsters. Behind the building’s puzzles lie memories and a family secret.

Puzzles between memories and monsters

You examine the various rooms, collect items, combine clues and gradually gain access to new areas. Instead of battles, the focus is on careful observation, understanding mechanisms and deciphering puzzling connections. From the initially threatening return, a story emerges about research, dreams, love and the choices between personal goals and close people.

Black-and-white drawing style and branching secrets

The detailed, mostly monochrome graphics and restrained sound effects give the old house a peculiar atmosphere. Dialogue fragments, memories and found items deliberately tell the story bit by bit. The adventure is mainly suited to fans of calm point-and-click games with a dark, emotional story who prefer thinking and exploring to fighting.
