ArcheAge Chronicles

ArcheAge Chronicles is an open-world online action RPG from XLGAMES. The game leads to Auroria and combines a shared online world with a more action-focused combat system than its predecessor. The story is set roughly 50 years after the events of the original ArcheAge and focuses on the resettlement of Auroria.

ArcheAge Chronicles releases on Nov 4, 2026 at 0:00 German time in Early Access for PC on Steam. In North America, access starts already on Nov 3 at 3 PM Pacific Standard Time. XLGAMES is publishing the game itself and plans roughly nine to twelve months of Early Access for the full version.

At launch, three regions, four classes and two weapons per class are announced. The public demo at the Steam Next Fest ran from Oct 19 to 26, 2026.

Early Access starts first on PC via Steam. Versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are announced. The Epic Games Store is also named on the official website.

Steam lists English, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese for the interface and subtitles. Korean is also listed as voice audio.

Combat combines direct attacks and weapon skills with dodging, parrying and interrupting attack animations. At Early Access, the classes Warrior, Berserker, Ranger and Mage are announced, each with two weapons.

Players explore Auroria together, take on dungeons and raids, face each other in PvP zones and build a second income through gathering, crafting, trade and housing. The full version is set to add additional regions and a third weapon per class.

On PC, the current Steam listing requires at least 16 GB RAM, a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and 100 GB of free storage. Recommended are 32 GB RAM, a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and likewise 100 GB storage. For the processor, XLGAMES lists at least a Core i5-12400 or Ryzen 5 5600 and recommends a Core i7-12700 or Ryzen 7 5700X.

Auroria is in a new pioneer phase. Players start as a member of a trading company, explore ruins and investigate, among other things, the crash of an airship. XLGAMES wants to guide discovery more through the world itself and less through permanently visible waypoints. Hidden places, characters and stories are therefore meant to make up a large part of exploration.

Apart from combat, core ArcheAge systems remain. These include gathering, hunting, housing, farming, crafting and trade. Houses can be customised extensively, while crafting and goods trading are part of character progression and the player economy. Trade routes connect these systems with the open world and can overlap with PvE and PvP risks.
