Autobahn Police Simulator 3

Autobahn Police Simulator 3 is a police simulation by Z-Software. You play an officer who returns to duty after a serious traffic accident. Alongside an experienced colleague, you take on patrols, traffic checks and emergency calls. The open game world extends beyond the motorway into cities, industrial areas and rural roads.

Autobahn Police Simulator 3 was released on June 22, 2022 for PC and PlayStation. The Xbox versions for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S followed on June 23, 2022, according to Microsoft. The original joint announcement named June 23.

After release, three major expansions followed: Off-Road, Speed Trap and Police Motorcycle.

Autobahn Police Simulator 3 is available for Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox release supports Smart Delivery and is optimized for the Series consoles. The console versions are not separate sequels but native editions of the same game.

Steam and Microsoft list Autobahn Police Simulator 3 as a single-player game.

Missions start with patrols along the road network. You respond to emergency calls, secure traffic accidents, check vehicles and chase drivers who try to evade a check. For many tasks you get out of the car and continue at the scene.

Variety comes from different duty assignments, driving behavior in traffic and new tasks that unlock as your rank rises.

Off-Road adds off-road driving, a police dog and new tasks away from paved roads. Speed Trap expands traffic checks with radar measurements and monitoring of speeding. Police Motorcycle enables motorcycle patrols and pursuits on two wheels.

The Complete Edition includes the base game with the three expansions. It is a bundle, not a new series entry.

For the PC version you need Windows 10 as a 64-bit system, 8 GB RAM and 20 GB storage. Steam lists an Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-6300 as the minimum processor. For graphics, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon R9 570 are listed. DirectX 12 is required.

Traffic checks and accident scenes are among the core activities. Also included are broken-down vehicles, roadblocks and missions against robberies. In some missions you can sneak up on suspects or draw your weapon. These actions supplement regular patrol work but do not replace it.

The freely explorable map connects highways with country roads, cities, industrial sites and landscapes between mountains and coast. A dynamic traffic system accompanies your drives. Off the main highway, you'll find additional roads and mission locations.

Successful missions advance your police career. New ranks unlock more demanding missions, additional skills and new equipment. You can develop your officer through a skill tree. Unlocks include vehicle upgrades and a civilian car for undercover investigations.

Various service vehicles are available for traffic checks, missions and pursuits. Which cars and equipment you can use depends on your progress in your police career. Switching between driving and on-foot missions is part of the gameplay.

Autobahn Police Simulator 3 is listed exclusively as a single-player game. The colleague at your side is a character in the story, not a human co-op partner. Neither Steam nor the Xbox Store lists an online multiplayer mode.

On PC, Autobahn Police Simulator 3 supports German voice-over, on-screen text and subtitles. English also has full voice-over. Other on-screen languages include French, Italian, Spanish and Turkish.

Z-Software developed Autobahn Police Simulator 3, and Aerosoft published the game. The third installment expands the series with a freely drivable world, more types of missions, new abilities and a reworked progression system.
