Cleared Hot

Cleared Hot is a single-player helicopter action game from Not Knowing Corporation that combines classic top-down helicopter games with modern physics and light tactics. Alongside shooting and dodging, a rope and magnet system is central: vehicles, objects and enemies can be picked up, carried or used against the environment.

The title is in Early Access. Missions combine direct air combat with ground forces, tactical transport tasks and physics-based improvisation.

Cleared Hot launched in Steam Early Access on Nov 20, 2025. Not Knowing Corporation plans to reach version 1.0 in 2027; larger chapters expand the campaign during the Early Access phase.

Chapter 2: Jungle Storm releases on Oct 15, 2026 as a free update for owners of the game. According to the Early Access roadmap, Chapter 3 is also planned for existing buyers at no extra cost.

Cleared Hot is currently available for PC via Steam. The Steam version supports Windows and SteamOS/Linux. A standalone console version has not been released in the current state of the product.

Players fly different helicopters from a angled top-down view, attack ground targets and deploy their own troops. The physics system lets you pick up or redirect vehicles, enemies and other objects using a rope and a magnet. This creates improvised solutions for mission objectives alongside classic firefights.

The campaign features varied biomes, day and night missions, customisable loadouts and numerous physics-based enemy vehicles. The Early Access will also be expanded with experimental modes and new systems.

For Windows, the Steam page lists at least Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-6300, 8 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 960 with 2 GB or Radeon R9 280 with 3 GB, DirectX 12 and 5 GB of free storage. As Cleared Hot is still in Early Access, the requirements may change before the full release.

Jungle Storm expands Cleared Hot on Oct 15, 2026 with a new campaign of nine missions, roughly the size of Chapter 1. New features include the Ka-52 Alligator and MH-53 Pave Low helicopters, unique special abilities for all eleven helicopters, and a utility slot for flares, chaff, EMP, airstrikes and smoke grenades.

The chapter also brings tropical weather with rain, lightning and thunder, new enemies such as BTRs, Shilkas, gunboats and drone swarms, a reworked water and overheating system, and a level editor and early file-based mod support. These systems are designed as permanent additions to the Early Access game.
