Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2

Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 combines a board game with a role-playing game for up to four players. On a fantasy map, participants collect money, defeat monsters, rescue villages and try to finish with the greatest wealth. The new part is made by Sting and continues the mutual one-upmanship that defines the Dokapon series.

Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 is coming in summer 2027 worldwide for PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Compile Heart announced the game on Oct 29, 2026, during gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show. All three versions are set to launch in the same period.

The board game RPG is coming to PC via Steam, to Nintendo Switch, and as a separate version for Nintendo Switch 2. The two Nintendo versions are announced separately, not just through backward compatibility of the newer console. The PC version is already announced on Steam.

The roulette determines how many squares a character can move per turn. Different squares trigger their own events, so the choice of path matters alongside the rolled distance. Between villages, shops and encounters with monsters, a race develops for the most valuable stops on the map.

Victory depends on total wealth. Defeated monsters bring money, liberated villages pay regular tribute, and especially lucrative locations give an advantage. Whoever simply rushes across the map as fast as possible may leave important sources of income untapped.

On ordinary terrain squares, monsters can trigger a battle. Victories bring experience points. When leveling up, you can raise specific stats, so characters can develop differently. Battles are therefore not just obstacles on the board, but determine the strength of your own character.

The other characters are not automatically allies. You can attack them and take their money or items. Even shops can be robbed. Such decisions bring short-term advantages, but can also cause the others to turn their plans against you.

When attacking Dokapon Castle, all participants fight together against a massive monster. After winning, they must decide how the reward is shared. This can instantly turn cooperation back into a conflict over gold and loot.

The new character editor lets you combine hairstyles, eyes and mouths, among other things, individually. Finished characters can be saved and reused in later games.

Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 supports one to four players in total. For online matches, Compile Heart lists two to four participants. Players from different countries can compete against each other.

The announced scope includes Japanese, English and Thai text, as well as traditional and simplified Chinese. German is not among the language versions announced so far.

Sting is developing the new Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2. Compile Heart is listed as publisher, and the rights belong to Idea Factory, Compile Heart and Sting. The game was announced in October 2026 with a first teaser.
