What is Dressmaker?
Dressmaker is a cosy tailoring simulation from Cozy Lives and Free Lives. The game covers the full craft process of a dress without requiring any prior knowledge: choose fabric, place pattern pieces, cut the parts, assemble them at the sewing machine and then decorate.
Townspeople give you commissions for different occasions. Finished dresses bring reputation and money; your own designs can also be sold in the shop window.

Gameplay
Every dress starts with material and pattern. Cotton, linen, wool, silk and velvet are among the available fabric types. Pattern pieces can be placed freely on the material; even the grain direction affects how the finished dress looks.
After cutting, the pieces are checked on a dress form and sewn together on a vintage sewing machine. You can then choose thread colours, buttons, bows, appliqués and lace.
