Football, Tactics & Glory

Football, Tactics & Glory combines football management with turn-based play on the pitch. You build a club, sign players, develop talent and decide the key actions yourself during matches.

Creoteam developed the game with the aim of making tactical decisions easier to understand than in classic football managers. The team therefore does not play full real-time matches. Instead, ball possession, positioning, tackles and shots can be shaped turn by turn.

Football, Tactics & Glory was released for PC on June 1, 2018. Before that, it was available in early access under the name Football Tactics from June 1, 2015.

PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch followed in January 2020. The Treble Deluxe Edition also came out on November 20, 2025 as a native version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The game is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The native PS5 and Xbox Series release came with the Treble Deluxe Edition on November 20, 2025.

The original 2020 console version has a built-in editor but does not allow external mod files. The PC version, by contrast, supports changes via the Steam Workshop. The Treble Deluxe Edition also includes the content of the earlier major expansions and several graphical and gameplay improvements.

In a match, actions are carried out in turns. On each move you decide which piece runs, passes, wins the ball or shoots at goal. The ratings of the players involved and their positions determine which options look most promising.

Because time stands still between turns, the focus is more on planning than reaction speed. A weaker team can hold its own against nominally better opponents with smart lineups and good decisions.

Football Stars has expanded player development since 2020 with talent and additional statistics and transfer mechanics. Manager's Journey from 2021 focuses on the coach's career, reputation and offers from other clubs.

The 2025 Treble Deluxe Edition combines the base game with these two expansions and previously released improvements. World Championship, released on May 21, 2026, adds national teams, international tournaments, loan deals and faster transfer search to the PC version. It is not part of the previously released Treble Deluxe Edition.

On PC, Football, Tactics & Glory requires Windows 10 64-bit, a processor with at least 1 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, DirectX 9.0c and about 800 MB of free storage. The graphics hardware must support Shader Model 3.0 and at least 1024 × 768 pixels.

A dedicated graphics card with at least 512 MB of video memory is recommended.

In career mode you start in the lower leagues and work your way up through promotions, cup competitions and transfer decisions. You can sign new players, develop existing footballers and upgrade the club's facilities.

Other clubs stay active too. They develop youth players, trade on the transfer market and change their squads. As a result, longer careers differ in the makeup and strength of opponents.

A player's quality is not just a matter of overall strength. Position, skills and roles within the lineup decide how well a team performs in certain game situations.

Over the course of a career, players unlock new options. The right mix of squad, training and tactics matters most when an opponent has a stronger team.

With World Championship, you can also become a national coach. Players have nationalities, are called up from their clubs and compete in continental competitions as well as a regularly held World Cup.

A dedicated World Championship 2026 mode includes a tournament with 48 national teams and can be played alone or in local hotseat. Additional features such as player loans, automatically searched transfer candidates and spectator mode also expand club management.

The built-in editor lets you change clubs, competitions, player names and other attributes. On PC, players can create their own mods or use content from the Steam Workshop.

The older console versions offer editing features within the game but do not allow importing freely assembled files from the community.

Football, Tactics & Glory offers local tournaments in hotseat mode. The players involved can take turns managing their teams and compete against each other.

Steam also offers online friendly matches and Remote Play Together. Spectators can also be involved in certain processes via a Twitch integration.

Creoteam started the project after a difficult phase for the studio in Kyiv. In 2015, the first publicly playable version was released as Football Tactics on Steam Early Access. In early 2018, the team renamed it Football, Tactics & Glory.

The final PC version was released on June 1, 2018. In the following years, console ports, extensive expansions and new competition formats were added.

The PC version offers, among others, German, English, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Polish and Czech on-screen text. The language selection varies by console platform and sales region.
