GANG OF DRAGON

GANG OF DRAGON is an announced action-adventure by Toshihiro Nagoshi, former head of the Yakuza series. The game follows Shin Ji-seong, a senior member of a Korean criminal organization in Tokyo's entertainment district Kabukichō.

The story combines clashes in the underworld with personal relationships. Korean actor Ma Dong-seok plays the protagonist.

GANG OF DRAGON was revealed for PC at The Game Awards on Dec 11, 2025. Nagoshi Studio, which was originally responsible for development, was dissolved by a shareholder resolution on Oct 31, 2026.

The game remains listed on Steam. There is no official cancellation of the project.

GANG OF DRAGON was announced for PC via Steam. The version listed there requires a 64-bit processor and a 64-bit operating system.

The announced combat takes place from a third-person perspective. Shin uses his physical strength in melee, but can also use blades and firearms. Vehicles are meant to play a role both for fast travel and for action-packed scenes on the streets of Shinjuku.

The first trailer shows the game's direction, but does not replace confirmed details on mission scope, world size or technical systems.

The protagonist Shin Ji-seong is an influential member of a Korean criminal organization. On the streets of Shinjuku he gets drawn into conflicts between criminal groups. At the same time, his encounters with people from the district are meant to carry a personal story.

The setting is Kabukichō, the well-known entertainment district in Tokyo's Shinjuku ward.

Ma Dong-seok, also known internationally as Don Lee, plays Shin Ji-seong. The lead character is built around his presence and a physically driven fighting style.

The December 2025 announcement focused on the character and the atmosphere of Kabukichō.

Toshihiro Nagoshi founded Nagoshi Studio after his time at Sega and on the Yakuza series. For GANG OF DRAGON he was responsible for creative direction and the script. The studio presented the game in December 2025 as its first major project.

On Oct 31, 2026, the shareholders' meeting resolved to dissolve the company. The corresponding notice was published in the Japanese official gazette on Nov 2.

The dissolution of Nagoshi Studio ends the company structure previously behind GANG OF DRAGON. It has not been announced whether the game will continue with new funding or with other development partners.

On Steam, GANG OF DRAGON remains listed as an upcoming PC game. There has been no formal announcement that the project has been cancelled.

The Steam page lists German on-screen text and subtitles. English and Japanese voice audio are listed. Other supported on-screen languages include French, Italian, Spanish, Korean and Chinese.

GANG OF DRAGON is categorized as a single-player game on Steam. The outlook published so far focuses on Shin Ji-seong's story and third-person combat.
