Gameplay

Before an encounter with guests, you put together cards and librarians to suit. In duels, chosen attacks and their dice values are compared. Effects, enemy weaknesses and the assignment of actions decide the outcome. After successful fights, books provide new cards and help you invite stronger visitors into the library.

Books and progress

New books are more than collectibles. They expand your card pool and open invitations to new guests. If you get through difficult encounters, you can tune your deck more precisely for later opponents. Story progress and combat tactics are directly linked.
