What is March of Giants?

March of Giants is a free-to-play 4v4 war MOBA that combines direct hero control with real-time strategy. Each player controls a Giant with its own abilities, while also leading groups of soldiers across the battlefield and influencing the fight with tactical reinforcements.

Battles take place on a destroyed urban battlefield. Alongside duels between Giants, the aim is to build lane pressure, capture outposts and deploy your own troops in ways that put pressure on enemy positions and Giants.

Gameplay

Teams consist of four players. Giants take on different roles and bring their own abilities, while each player also commands soldiers at the same time. Troops can tie down enemy Giants, attack outposts and create constant pressure on a lane.

Since the first closed alpha, the team says it has, among other things, expanded the role of soldiers, created more interaction and counterplay around Battleworks, made the areas between the lanes more important for progress and map control, and expanded itemization for more specialized builds.

Battleworks and armies

Battleworks are a permanent core element of the strategy system. Players place reinforcements such as trenches, tanks and bunkers to secure attacks, build pressure or enable a retreat. As a result, a battle is decided not only by the Giant itself, but also by the positioning of troops and fortifications.
