Mistfall Hunter

Mistfall Hunter combines a third-person action RPG with the risk of an extraction game. It is set in Weavereach, a dark fantasy world where a war between gods and outside powers brought down all deities. The Gyldenmist arose from their blood and corrupts land and living beings.

You play a Gyldhunter revived by Dew. Each run takes you into dangerous ruins, where monsters, bosses and other players fight over the same loot. Only those who extract in time bring Gyldenblod, relics and gear back to camp; if you die, the treasures carried during the run are lost.

Mistfall Hunter was released on July 29, 2026. Bellring Games released the game simultaneously for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; on Xbox, it has also been available via Game Pass since launch.

The base game is designed as an online game that is continuously developed. Bellring describes a seasonally changing world in which new classes, areas, relics and story content can be added. The core remains the same: looting trips into the Gyldenmist, fights against PvE enemies and rival Gyldhunters, and the extraction that follows.

Mistfall Hunter is available natively for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version is offered via Steam, among others; on Xbox, the game supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC.

The online game supports cross-platform play. Microsoft explicitly confirms cross-network co-op and cross-network multiplayer for the Xbox version, so groups and encounters are not limited to a single platform.

The gameplay follows a clear risk cycle: enter an area, find valuable resources, survive fights and then organise a safe way back. For extraction, the rare Returner Woodlings play a central role: whoever defeats one receives the necessary Soul of Return to open the way back to camp.

In combat, Mistfall Hunter relies on third-person action with melee, magic, combos and free aiming at weak points. At launch, six classes are available. Each has its own active abilities, talent trees and two weapon stances, which you can switch between in battle. Gem affixes and gear complement the builds.

You can go into the Gyldenmist alone or team up with up to two other players to form a team of three. Alongside the Corroded and powerful PvE enemies, other Gyldhunters appear as direct competition for loot and extraction opportunities.

There is a Deluxe upgrade to the base game with cosmetic extras and Fate Coins; it is not a separate main game. Beyond that, Mistfall Hunter is designed as an online game that evolves with seasons. Bellring Games describes new classes, zones, relics and story progress as possible parts of upcoming seasons.

This means the scope and locations may expand over a longer period, while the core principle of looting, PvPvE combat and successful extraction remains.

On PC, Mistfall Hunter requires at least Windows 10 (64-bit), an Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400, 12 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580. Recommended are a Core i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM and an RTX 2070 or RX 5700 XT. Both tiers call for DirectX 12, broadband internet and 45 GB storage; an SSD is explicitly recommended.
