Monster Prom 3: Monster Roadtrip

Monster Prom 3: Monster Roadtrip from Beautiful Glitch is a funny decision-based adventure with resource management. Scott and Polly travel with a group through a world full of strange characters, risky encounters and odd rest stops. Instead of getting a date within a deadline, the group aims to reach one of six possible destinations.

The tone and characters come from the Monster Prom series. Romance remains a possible ending, but it is no longer the only goal. Storytelling and shared decisions still take priority over dexterity challenges or real-time combat.

The PC version was released on Steam on Oct 21, 2022. Nintendo released the Switch version XXL on Aug 4, 2023. The XXL edition has been available for PS4 and PS5 since Nov 15, 2024, and for Xbox One and Xbox Series since Oct 24, 2025.

The four additional playable XXL characters are part of the standard package on the listed console versions. The XXL label therefore does not mean that the identical console game is released as two separate editions.

The game is available for PC (Windows, macOS, Linux), Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. The Xbox version includes Smart Delivery. The console XXL edition already includes four extra playable characters in the main game; no native special edition for Switch 2 has been confirmed.

The focus is on dialogue and decisions during a shared car journey. At rest stops and along the way, encounters change the supplies available. The group must conserve its resources to reach one of six destinations. Three difficulty levels affect the challenge.

The PC edition offers additional playable characters as paid content, including Zoe, Juan, Hazel and Glitch. There are also hitchhiker packs and a separately available soundtrack. The XXL console version already includes the four playable characters mentioned in the main game. Other DLC offers remain separate add-on products.

The Steam version lists at least 4 GB RAM and 2 GB storage for Windows, macOS and Linux. A CPU from roughly the last five years is given as a guideline. The original Windows 7 entry on the game page should be distinguished from the current Steam client, which has required Windows 10 since 2024.

Up to four people can experience the journey together. Local groups and online matches are planned. Choices can help the group move forward or give individual characters advantages. Steam also supports Remote Play Together.

Steam lists English menus, text and voice acting for the PC version. A German translation is not currently listed. The console products we checked also list English as the game language.
