Gameplay

The focus is on a realistically designed motocross simulation with newly developed motorbike physics. The handling reacts to bumps and ruts, while reworked rider animations are meant to show scrubs, whips and movement in the air more naturally.

Alongside the classic third-person view, there is a helmet camera in first-person view. The official presentation names Bariloche, Riola Sardo, Pietramurata and Loket, among others, as examples of the different track surfaces of the season.

Dynamic track deformation

A core system in MXGP 26 is the permanent deformation of the track during a race. Tyres dig ruts into the surface that stay for several laps. As a result, lines and grip change during the race and riders have to keep adjusting their route.

The system is directly linked to the newly developed motorbike physics and is meant to be felt in the handling, not just seen.

Game series

MXGP 26 is based on the official licence of the FIM Motocross World Championship. Artefacts Studio handles development, NACON handles publishing, and Infront Moto Racing is involved as the championship's rights partner.

This entry continues the official MXGP game series, but with a clear technical fresh start: Unreal Engine 5, newly written motorbike physics and dynamic track deformation are among the main lasting changes from the previous game.
