What is Neon Abyss 2?
Neon Abyss 2 is the sequel to Veewo Games' colorful action roguelike. In a cyber-mythical version of the Abyss, you fight your way through ever-new runs across procedurally built rooms, defeat gods and bosses, and build increasingly extreme combinations from weapons, items and companions.
The second part especially expands the basic principle with online co-op for up to four players. Instead of using only classic firearms, the combat styles range from melee weapons through plants to summoned creatures.

Release
Neon Abyss 2 launched on Steam in Early Access on July 17, 2025. Version 1.0 releases on Oct 8, 2026 – simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

Gameplay
The focus is on fast run-and-gun combat and builds whose item effects synergize without a fixed cap. The weapon system covers firearms, melee, plants and summoned creatures. Hatchmon can be hatched and evolved, while the Faith system uses resources for items, additional Hatchmon or risky gambling.
Online co-op lets up to four players play together, combine builds and even explore different rooms of the same map in parallel.

Archenemy Returns is available on Steam as a free expansion pack, bringing back 34 bosses from the original Neon Abyss in reworked form. In addition, a Supporter Pack and the soundtrack are offered as separate extra content.
